Training Program in Japan for Dr. Ariuntungalag, Anesthesiologist
10/22/2025
As part of an educational program that included a presentation at the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pediatric Anesthesiology, Dr. Ariuntungalag, an anesthesiologist from the National Center for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) in Mongolia, visited Japan from October 2 to October 8.
Until now, all physicians from NCMCH who had participated in this educational program in Japan were pediatric cardiologists. This program marked the first time that an anesthesiologist was invited to take part.
Training at Ehime University Hospital
On October 3, the day after arriving in Japan, Dr. Ariuntungalag traveled to Ehime Prefecture and observed two pediatric cardiac catheterization procedures at Ehime University Hospital. During the visit, physicians who had previously worked together with the Heart Saving Project team in Mongolia provided a tour of the hospital and explained current clinical practices in Japan. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone at Ehime University Hospital for their warm support.
